THEME OPTION 2

Connections - 'Technology /Space syntax/ Connecting people'

'How technology had become so advanced that it needed a specialist to carry out that role and how it was taken away from the Architect'

'How we can use technology can be used to connect people with each other rather than isolate them'

With technology in all aspects becoming more and more advanced, from mobile phones to building construction, to machinery, the human touch is becoming less prominent. In the coming years it will most likely continue to reduce. The introduction of 'Space Syntax' aims to use this ever growing technology in a way to bring people and communities back together by simply researching patterns in the community which derive from culture, lifestyle, professions, behaviour and so on to then documenting and using the information to create cities where people come together rather than being divided.
